BEERLARONG COMMUNITY FARM

Corner Beverley St & York St Morningside 4170

Our Mission Statement:

To encourage, educate, share and nurture interest in sustainable living by creating a vibrant community farm within an urban environment.

Sustainable Organic Community Farming:

Just 7 kms from the City, at Beelarong Community Farm, Morningside, we are growing organic, chemical free food in our wonderful sustainable farming environment.

Being committed to the principles of sustainable living, even our infrastructure and amenities are sustainable!  Additional to growing our organic produce, other features of the farm include a grey water system, solar power, windy loo & innovative composting techniques.

We are always looking for new people to share our environment and ideas with.  Our members meet twice weekly, on Wednesday mornings and Sunday mornings -- why not come along and join in?

Private Group and School tours can also be arranged for a minimal charge.

We meet at the farm:

Every Wednesday from 09:00am to 12:00pm

Every Sunday from 09:00am to 12:00pm

New members are always welcome, and even if you are just curious please feel free to drop by during one of our regular meetings.

Situated in Brisbane City Council parkland, only seven kilometres from the centre of Brisbane, the Beelarong Community Farm is:

creating place where all members of the community can meet and feel welcome

growing plants for food in an ecologically sound way

sharing skills and knowledge about growing fruit, vegetables, herbs, bush tucker, and flowers in a sustainable, natural environment

regenerating the site with the help of biodynamic preparations

fostering school involvement

saving and exchanging locally adapted open pollinated, non-hybrid, heritage seeds

demonstrating to the general public technological and design solutions that make sustainable living in the city possible.
